Refocus Specialist

The Refocus Specialist will work at Iroquois High School to provide students with individual counseling, peer conflict resolution, tutoring and behavior re-focusing. Staff members are expected to practice the Sanctuary Commitments and utilize the S.E.L.F Model during daily interaction and crisis intervention. Other responsibilities include:

  • Writing behavior records
  • Compiling necessary documentation for the school district
  • Crisis de-escalation
  • Peer mediation
  • Interfacing with school district personnel

Work Hours: Monday thru Friday,7:00 am-3:00 pm, School-year

Compensation: $12.50 with adjustment for previous relevant experience

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology or related field preferred; will consider combination of post-high school education and related experience working with children/adolescents in a therapeutic or school setting. Preference given to candidates with experience working with high school population.

Requirements: 21 years of age or older; Ability to obtain clean clearance for FBI Fingerprints, Child Abuse, and PA Criminal History; Official transcripts and diploma to verify educational level. EOE.
