Therapist - Partial Hospitalization Program

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position provides therapeutic support, clinical consultation, individual, family, and group therapy, and crisis intervention children and adolescents receiving services in our Partial Hospitalization Program. The role of the therapist is to create therapeutic opportunities for children to develop and practice emotional intelligence, social competence, behavioral self-control, intrinsic motivation, in an atmosphere of non-violence, and increased social responsibility. Consultation will be provided to clinical care staff, therapists, case managers, teachers, program supervisors and the medical department in the program. Participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment format.   

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree in psychology, social work or related mental health counseling area. One year of experience working with children and adolescents experiencing emotional/behavioral problems preferred. 

Must be able to obtain clean clearances.

HOURS

F/T, M-F, 40 Hrs/wk, school-year position 

RATE OF PAY

Minimum entry rate: $21.50/hr adjusted upward depending on experience and relevant professional license
