SAP Counselor (Student Assistance Program)

Other responsibilities include:

  • Consultation services to district staff, students and their families
  • Responding to student crises
  • Collecting and compiling data
  • Participating in IEP, IDT or other family attended meetings as requested by the school
  • Provide referrals to appropriate school and community programs
  • Participate in the Student Assistance Core Team
  • Other activities as determined/assigned

SCHEDULE:  School-year position; 37.5 hours/week, Mon-Fri from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • SAP-Level 2:  Master's degree in School Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related clinical field required.  Minimum of 2 years of experience with children/adolescents in behavioral or mental health with preference for school-based experience.
