Therapist - Bridges Program

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Coordinate student-centered, family-focused counseling and treatment services to alternative education students in the Bridges Program.  Collaborate with the team to facilitate access to community services, ensuring each student's particular needs are met.  Provide direct interventions to address a student's social, emotional and behavioral functioning.  Work flexibly with the team, as all members support one another's role during periods of absence/vacancy.

·  Gather relevant information for case conceptualization for all students entering program

·  Conduct brief counseling as required, using evidence-based approaches when possible

·  Conduct intakes and assessments designed to clarify social, emotional and behavioral competence, diagnostic clusters, and inform clinical decisions and to elicit trauma history or risk factors as directed by PDE

·  Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive treatment for all students

·  Maintain records for all students, such as job-related reports, notes and documentation

·  Maintain effective working relationships to ensure a safe environment for students, families and staff, leading to quality, seamless service for all students

SCHEDULE

·  M-F, 8 hours/day

·  School Year

REQUIREMENTS

·  Clinical master's degree, including a minimum of one (1) year related experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school setting.  Must be able to effectively manage time in order to meet client needs and scheduling demands.  Active PA license preferred (LPC, LSW, LCSW), or certification required for one position. WILL ASSIST WITH SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT FOR THERAPISTS ON PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE PATH!
