Special Education Case Manager

Sarah A. Reed Children's Center is redefining care for children. We are developing an innovative special education position to impact the lives of kids. Here is YOUR opportunity to join this exciting team as we develop a unique method to deliver alternative education. No longer will you be stuck in one classroom behind one desk. You will be traveling to program sites, working hands on with kids, managing IEPs, and offering ideas to shape the direction of this model. All while driving positive change and growth for children. 

JOB DUTIES: 

  • Responsible to manage all Bridges IEPs (East & West)
  • Responsible to manage the special education process at each Bridges location
  • Ensure all special education services and supports are in place
  • Ensure the services and supports are being provided for in the way that is described in each child's IEP
  • Makes certain all paperwork and evaluations for each child is up-to-date
  • Collaborate with all team members to ensure they are following the IEP, so each child has the support needed to meet specific goals
  • Serve as primary point of contact for parents/guardians of children with IEP
  • Ensure all special education and IEP paperwork is completed in a timely manner
  • Coordinate between team members to facilitate needed resources and how to get accommodations and behavior plans in place
  • When necessary engage children one-on-one in the classroom setting

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in education is required.
  • Active PA Certification: Special Education K-12 required
WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Monday-Friday 
  • 8:30-4:30
  • School year position

 CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate Required
  • Act 33 and 34 Clearances
  • CPR Certification
  • SCM training
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
  • FBI clearances

COMPENSATION

  • Starting at $17.75/hour
